"Greetings, Little One. I see you're deep in thought again. What are you pondering this time?" it whispered gently into the ear of the sad human figure.
Little One startled and raised their head. "I'm pondering Love, Universe. My thoughts are so tangled today! I had a dream in which I was with my Love, but we were something I couldn’t quite identify with my human mind and experiences. I was in some sort of telepathic connection with him. But it wasn’t exactly language. It was like a continuous understanding of the other's presence and connection in that strange world. I was in him, and he was in me, yet my experience of myself remained separate. I can't even comprehend our forms—what we really were. Were we perhaps some kind of plants, fungi, mycelium? But intelligent, somehow. All I perceived was a dark nocturnal environment and an immense worry for my Beloved. He had black spots, and that wasn’t a good thing, not in the place where we were. The dream also made it clear that the place was millions of light-years away from planet Earth—one of our past lives and yet thousands of years in the future from this moment. Do you think, Universe, that I truly saw a past life in another galaxy? And if I did, why was it in the future?"

"I experienced the dream literally, like a movie, not so much as a symbol." Little One responded. "When I woke up, there was pain and fear in my heart because of those black spots. The person in my dream is, in fact, one of the dearest people to me at the moment. I feel like he might be either a soulmate or a twin flame. I’m not sure yet. But right from the start, our encounter was full of universal coincidences."
"Your dream is powerful, and if you felt it as literal, then it’s possible that it’s not just the product of your subconscious but a message for your soul. Especially since the person in your dream is dear to you in this life, this could be an indication of a soul connection—a memory of past lives or even a hint of what might happen in the future." The Universe advised Little One.

We live in different countries, separated by continents, but it feels like he’s been walking alongside me for centuries instead of just the three years we’ve known each other. I somehow even know what he smells like and how warm and alive his heart is pressed against my hand. I just know.” Little One said, her voice echoing with longing, and a tear glistening in her eye. “And I miss him. But he doesn’t remember me in the same way, Universe. He doesn’t recognize me the same way; he’s fumbling at the edges of all things earthly.” Little One’s voice rose as she became more animated.
“I understand your feelings, Little One,” The Universe hurried to soothe Little One’s blazing heart. “A soul connection can be so powerful that it transcends the physical world's limitations, such as distance and time. In your case, this bond is clearly much deeper than just the connection of your current life. You know his scent and touch because your soul remembers. It carries with it experiences that reach far into the past, and it knows his energy, even though you haven’t yet met physically. It’s both beautiful and touching at the same time.”
“It’s also possible that your Beloved doesn’t remember in the same way or recognize your bond as clearly, which can bring sorrow and longing to you. Remember, Little One, that each soul awakens in its own time. Perhaps his soul is still on the journey to fully understanding this connection. Or maybe his awakening is different from yours—quieter, but no less real. The fact that he doesn’t remember right now doesn’t make your bond any less real.”

It somehow evoked an uncomfortable curiosity about him. For a while, we didn’t even speak to each other. We just talked to other people. Sometimes he greeted me when we happened to be in the chat at the same time, and each time my heart fluttered with an indescribable hope that he would talk to me more. The pull and vibration were so strong that I got scared and decided to stay away from him and not get to know him at all. I wasn’t looking for distant people in my life anyway. My decision lasted three months. Then one night, he sent me a private message asking if I was okay, and we’ve been unable to let go of each other since then. He also told me he’d seen me in a dream and recognized the place in the dream and me from nature photos I’d posted in the chat.” Little One sounded a bit pensive. “Making our connection real was incredibly stressful for me. Due to past trauma related to a relationship, I feared him and any possible future so much, yet I also felt a terrible longing to get to know him. I even had a dream where he was the devil wanting to harm me. Slowly, the stress eased, and I began to recognize more of the timelessness in our friendship.”

“Hesitation is understandable, Little One. In soul connections, there’s always that deep unknown fear that the other may never fully awaken to what you feel. But know this: souls that have walked side by side for centuries never truly lose each other. Even if this life feels like the connection won’t manifest as hoped, it doesn’t mean that the connection is lost.”
“There are painful meetings and separations in life that serve a greater purpose than we can immediately understand. If he doesn’t recognize you in this life in the same way, it doesn’t make your feelings any less real, nor does it diminish the importance of your bond.
