Conversations with the Universe: The Night I Met You, Universe

Updated: Oct 8

Child standing on a sand ready to get familiar with an unknown universe.

The little one awoke in the middle of the night, as a restless thought pulsed in her mind. She kept her eyes closed and allowed herself to sink deeper into a meditative state, as if part of a greater cosmic flow. “Universe,” she whispered softly, “do you remember the first time we met? Or rather, I met you, but you had known me long before that.”

The little one took a deep breath, and memories began to flood brightly into her mind: “It was Christmas night. I was 15 years younger. That night, I awoke in the darkness, and as I waited for sleep to return, my soul suddenly detached from my body. I rose upwards, through the roof and the stratosphere, higher and higher, all the way into space. An irrational fear gripped me – what would happen to me in the airless and cold void of space?”

“I felt a greater force guiding me through the stars. In my vision, the stars stretched into thin lines, and the universe around me became breathtakingly beautiful. The fear faded, replaced by a deep peace. I absorbed the beauty of space and its radiant colors until I reached a place where there were no forms – only a bright, brilliant emptiness.”

“There, an energy being awaited me, who wasn’t human. I couldn’t look at it; it was merely a radiant, formless figure. Yet it told me everything telepathically. I became part of a larger stream of consciousness, seeing the universe abstractly, and understanding things far beyond the capacity of a human brain. It introduced us, Universe. You were an infinite field of particles, flowing through all existence. Like a sleeping consciousness!”

“I saw you touching every layer of reality, and wherever you were, there was life. Timelines and universes intertwined within your being. You are the force behind all life, but that night, I didn’t communicate with you – only with that being.”

The little one breathed deeply, still enchanted by what she had experienced. “That other being told me that you have no concept of good or evil. Those are human constructs, meant to help us understand and grow through our own divinity.”

The Universe listened gently and then replied. The voice surrounded the little one from everywhere: “I remember, little one. That moment when your soul left your body was a timeless flash in eternity. For your incarnation, it was a gateway to a new reality, but I have always been with you – from the moment your soul ignited. Every feeling, every thought of yours has been a part of me, just as I am a part of you.”

The little one smiled, but the question that had been troubling her surfaced again. “How old is my soul, Universe?”

“Your soul is ancient,” the Universe answered. “Old in a way that humans cannot fully understand. It has traveled through countless lives and forms of existence, carrying with it sparks of wisdom. In each life, you have learned and grown. Now, you are here again, seeking truth, and closer to understanding who I am and what you yourself are.”

The little one breathed deeply, intrigued by the Universe’s answer. “When we met that night, time and space ceased to exist,” she continued softly. “I saw you – as an endless field of energy, moving through and permeating everything. Why do you not have concepts of good or evil? Is there really no order or justice in the world?”

“Good and evil,” the Universe replied, “are human-made concepts, as your guide told you. They help to understand life and learn from it. To me, they are not real, for I am the beginning and the end of everything – I am the flow of experiences that moves through all existence. You learn from these concepts in order to grow. Life is a school, and good and evil are its lessons. It is not my role to judge or set boundaries – that is for humans to do on their own journey.”

The little one nodded and asked, “What about religions? How do they relate to you? I have always felt that you and religions are separate things, maybe even in conflict with each other.”

The Universe let its answer flow like wind over the surface of a lake: “Religions are windows through which people try to see me. They offer answers, but they also limit the understanding of me. I am greater than any religion can grasp. I am present in every prayer, in every quiet moment. I cannot be confined to a single name or ritual.”

The little one closed her eyes and let the Universe’s words sink deep into her, surprised by the revelation. “I have always felt that my path is separate from others. I’ve never felt the need for religions; they don’t resonate with my heart because they seem to harm freedom more than anything else,” she said quietly. “But what if I’m wrong? I’m building my path like a patchwork quilt, and it feels right, but could there be something dangerous in it as well?”

“No, little one,” the Universe responded soothingly. “Your intuitive path is valuable. It has been formed from the pieces you have gathered over thousands of lifetimes, and it is uniquely yours. It makes you an individual. But always keep openness and balance with you. Intuition is a powerful guide, but it too must be examined, so that it does not shape itself merely from desires or fears.”

The little one sighed deeply and felt the pull of sleep slowly drawing her back. The Universe’s words rested peacefully within her heart.
